MFB was founded in 2000, and maintains offices in Denver and Boulder, Colorado.  We have grown to become one of the largest law firms based in the Rocky Mountain region that focuses exclusively on procurement, counseling and analysis with respect to all areas of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, technology transfer and licensing.     

As a firm that practices exclusively in intellectual property law, each of our  attorneys holds at least an undergraduate engineering or science degree in a technical field, such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, industrial engineering, chemical engineering or materials science.  Our senior attorneys have long-term working relationships and a team-oriented philosophy, providing stability and continuity for executing intellectual property strategies on behalf of our clients.

Our primary objective is to provide each of our clients with high quality, personalized legal solutions in a cost effective manner.  Key to this objective is that all partners of the firm are skilled hands-on practitioners who generate or closely review virtually all work done on our clients’ behalf, which guarantees our clients will receive exceptional representation regardless of the nature of the matter.  Although many of our senior members have previous experience with larger local and national general practice firms, we strive to maintain a low firm overhead structure, enabling the billing rates for our attorneys to be generally lower than the billing rates for attorneys of comparable experience at larger firms.  While being dedicated to meeting the demands of each of our clients, our attorneys also enjoy lower yearly billing requirements than attorneys at most larger firms, enabling our attorneys to stay fresh and focused on the matters at hand.  In addition, we do not routinely charge our clients for expenses such as photocopying, normal postage, long distance phone charges and the like.
