Ross E. Breyfogle

Mr. Breyfogle's legal practice is focused on patent protection and the intellectual property aspects of technology-related assessments, transactions, due diligence and strategic counseling; with representations often involving effective interaction with a client's other counsel in a team approach to maximize value to the client. Representations have involved a variety of contexts, including with respect to companies ranging from small, start-ups to large, established businesses, venture capital groups, research institutions, joint ventures/technology collaborations, government research and procurements, mergers and reorganizations. Mr. Breyfogle has been involved with a variety of technologies, including chemicals and chemical processing, metallurgy, batteries, fuel cells, polymers, drug delivery, micro- and nano-engineered materials, thin and thick film processes and applications, photovoltaics, micromachined devices, natural resources, alternative fuels, water treatment, medical devices and software. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Breyfogle had seven years of engineering experience with Exxon Company, USA.
