Daniel J. SherwinterMr. Sherwinter's practice focuses on strategic Intellectual Property portfolio development, with an emphasis on patent prosecution in the electronics, software, and mechanical arts. He has enjoyed working with clients ranging from individuals and start-ups to some of the largest patent filers in the world, counseling those clients in a wide range of strategic and technical disciplines that include telecommunications and networking, signal processing and coding (including medical, encryption, and neural network applications), computer architecture and storage systems, analog and digital circuit design, biometrics, aerospace devices, and business methods and software. Prior to becoming a patent attorney, Mr. Sherwinter was a research and development project manager at The Boeing Company where he designed and analyzed electrical systems for various tactical aircraft programs. He has co-invented one patent and one patent-pending method of reverse engineering structural data from legacy aerospace platforms. Mr. Sherwinter was recently with Townsend and Townsend and Crew. Mr. Sherwinter is an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado School of Law, teaching courses on Strategic IP Counseling and Prosecution and Patent Law. He is also the Programming Chair of the IP Section of the Colorado Bar Association and is actively involved in a number of organizations and boards in the community.
